Vatican City, Vatican - October 2019 - On October 18, at the Vatican Museums, Pope Francis inaugurated and visited the first section of the new installation of the Vatican Ethnological Museum "Anima Mundi". To express closeness and participation in the Synod's important work on the Amazon, the event coincided with the presentation of an exhibition dedicated to the Amazon “Mater Amazonia - The deep breath of the world”, in the presence of the synod fathers. The exhibition is the fruit of a collaboration between the Istituto Missionari Consolata and the Salesians of Don Bosco. The two Congregations participated through the loan of objects from the collections of the two respective museums: the Ethnographic and Natural Sciences Museum "Missioni Consolata" of Turin, and the Ethnological Missionary Museum of Colle Don Bosco.
