Vienna, Austria - October 2019 - In the house of Don Bosco in Vienna, from 22nd to 24th October, the event "Choose Your Mission" took place on the occasion of the "Extraordinary Missionary Month". A workshop was therefore organized on the theme "Street children and today's mission: Going to the margins of society", aimed at discovering together why children and adolescents end up living on the street, what are the causes, the ways out and what it means to do mission in this context. "Children and adolescents in Austria often do not know this form of social injustice. With this workshop we want to draw attention to the problem of the unequal distribution of resources in the world and to sensitize Salesian students to solidarity with disadvantaged children and adolescents," explained the Head of the Mission Office, Günter Mayer SDB.
