Montevideo, Uruguay - February 2020 - On February 2, the Salesian Novitiate of the Salesian Provinces of Argentina (ARN and ARS), Chile (CIL) and Uruguay (URU) was inaugurated in Montevideo. The mass was presided by Fr Alfonso Bauer, URU Provincial, concelebrated by Fr Natale Vitali, Councilor for the America South Cone Region, Fr Gabriel Romero, ARN Provincial, Fr Carlo Lira, CIL Provincial, and other Salesians. Until last year, this formative phase of the Salesian Congregation took place in Córdoba (Argentina). To accompany the novices, a dozen from Argentina and Chile, were the Master of Novices, Fr Daniel Costa (URU), and the team composed of Fr Leonardo Santibáñez (CIL), Javier Abreu (ARN) and Hugo Diaz (ARS).
