(ANS – Mumbai) – “Salesian Family Songfest” is a tribute of love and gratitude to the Salesian Family for the education received. This production consists of songs 14 to 30 taken from the music score of Don Bosco, A Witness to Light compiled by Jay Franco and produced and prefaced by Fr. Joaquim Fernandes, SDB in 2019.

(ANS – Mumbai) – A four-day long joint virtual meeting of the Social Communication Delegates, Bulletin Editors, Publishers and Radio Directors of South Asia and East Asia was inaugurated on 5 November 2020 by Rev. Gildásio Mendes dos Santos, General Councillor for Social Communication.

(ANS - Rome) – With the presence of more than 20 Salesians and lay people, today, February 21, the World Consultation aka Consulta on Social Communication begins; its title: "Which Salesian communicators for young people in the digital world?" Fr Filiberto Gonzalez, Councilor General for Social Communications of the Salesian Congregation, declared: "For us, Salesians and lay people, young people are waiting, (young people) who speak a different language that we must know in order to be able to walk with them and accompany them."

A book containing music scores of 30 hymns to Don Bosco, Mary Mazzarello and Salesian Spirituality. Thirteen by Jay Franco, with seventeen additional songs on Salesian Spirituality translated and updated by Fr Peter Gonsalves, SDB.

(ANS – Mumbai) – On 18 and 19 July, a group of citizen journalists from 42 centres in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh participated in a two-day media workshop on “fake news and journalism for peace”.  Organized by the Bosco Information Service (BIS) of Mumbai Salesian province, the event marked the 25 years of BOSCOM South Asia.

(ANS - Rome) – On 28 June, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians and Grand Chancellor of the Salesian Pontifical University (UPS) in Rome, appointed prof Fabio Pasqualetti as the new Dean of the Faculty of Social Communication Sciences (FSC) for the 2018-2021 triennium. 

Mumbai, India - September 2017 - On 22 September, the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the "Tej-Prasarini - Don Bosco Communications", of the Mumbai Province, was celebrated in the presence of Cardinal Oswald Gracias, Archbishop of Mumbai, who praised the work of the "Tej-Prasarini", led by Fr Joaquim Fernades, for the important contribution to communications, not only for the Salesians, but also for the entire diocese of Mumbai. The "Tej-Prasarini" was established in 1992, under the guidance of Fr Peter Gonsalves, as a production center for audio cassettes with recordings of Christian and theatrical songs for the spiritual needs of the people of Maharashtra.
