(ANS – Macas) – This is a great moment for the Salesian presence in Macas, which this year celebrates its centenary of service to young people: the event is an opportunity to remember and thank the first Salesians who, with their example of faith and unconditional love, in 1924 sowed the first seeds of what is now a great "community" of missionaries in love with this land, who embraced the ancestral visions and traditions of local cultures to keep Don Bosco's dream alive in the Ecuadorian Amazon. The solemn ceremony for the celebration of the centenary took place on 15 March 2024 in the "Washington Ricaurte" theatre in Macas.
(ANS - Campo Grande) - The Animation Visit of Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, the Rector Major, to the "St. Alphonsus Maria de' Liguori" Province of Brazil-Campo Grande (BCG) continued on March 7th and 8th, 2024. (ANS – Rome) – We live in world in a constant humanitarian emergency, something that everybody is perceiving. The Salesian Family cannot ignore this reality and has acted accordingly to bring humanitarian relief and hope in some of the worst conflicts and Ukraine war is one clear example.
(ANS – Chennai) – Don Bosco’s dreams are still relevant, alive and still making an impact. The Salesian Province of Chennai has been at the forefront of ministry for the Young at Risk for the last four decades and more through its “Anbu Illam” (Home of Love) project that specially caters to street kids. 16 February marked the 10th anniversary of its “Don Bosco Young at Risk Aftercare-cum-Short Stay Home” located in Chennai, the capital Tamil Nadu State in India.
