(ANS – Manila) – Andre Launio is a young animator of the Salesian Youth Movement of the Northern Philippines (FIN), a past pupil of the Salesian Technical Institute of Mandaluyong. At 22 he was selected among the 15 young people from all over the world who participated as an observer in the 28th General Chapter of the Salesian Congregation. Here is what he reports of that experience, of his contribution, of his dreams for the Congregation and the Salesian Family.

(ANS - Montevideo) - Juan Pablo Reyes has experienced two quarantines and a series of extraordinary events. It began with his participation in the 28th General Chapter (GC28) of the Salesians of Don Bosco in Turin. He continued on in France, towards Taizé. But what should have been a profound experience of volunteering first became a quarantine and then a time of uncertainty and endless waiting at the airports.

(ANS - Rome) - Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major, has recently sent a letter to his confreres, the members of the Salesian Family, the laity committed to the Salesian Mission, and the many young animators, educators and catechists with the heart of Don Bosco. The emblematic title of the letter is: "OUR 'SPECIAL' 28th GENERAL CHAPTER. Amid the heartache of the Coronavirus and the EASTER EXPERIENCE."

Authored by Fr Benzelão Teixeira, SDB, and Sister Teresa Joseph, FMA, this book helps young people discern the signs of the times they live in, understand what life is all about and live it to the full. From career choice to matters concerning love in life and marriage, this book speaks about it all. Teenage is an age of growth, period of transition from childhood to growing in maturity. What a youth experiences during this period of change can have a decisive impact on the rest of his/her life.

(ANS - Rome) - The spread of Coronavirus also had an impact on CG28, which was interrupted earlier than expected. Despite this difficulty, it was still possible to consult the young people, who brought their significant contribution to the Chapter. The Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, spoke about it as part of the interview with the weekly Alfa y Omega.

(ANS – Ho Chi Minh City) – John Nguyen is a young Vietnamese man who attended the 28th General Chapter of the Salesian Congregation as an observer. Grateful to the Salesians for their impact on his life and in his formation, today he shares "his dreams" regarding the Congregation, the Salesian Family and young people.
