Tarnowskie Góry - July 2021 - Between June and July the Scholastic and Education Center of Tarnowskie Góry, in the south of Poland, of the Wrocław Province (PLO), was filled with the joyful excitement of the young people of all the oratories of the Province. The young arrived accompanied by various Salesians to grow as animators through various workshops, training meetings, physical ability competitions and intellectual tests. The young animators participated, among other things, in a ceramic workshop, integration games, a liturgical ceremony course, activities related to the preventive system, exercises, sports games and group dynamics. In addition to the contents provided during the School for Salesian Animators (SAS), they managed to build a large community of faith and joy thanks to prayers and cheerful evenings full of integration games.

Krakow, Poland - June 2021 - On the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the birth of Saint John Paul II, the Ex-Libris International Exhibition was presented at the chapel of Mary Help of Christians of the Salesian church of St. Stanislaus Kostka in Krakow-Dębniki on 13, 20 and 27 June. Among the authors of the works presented is Salesian Fr Ignacy Ryndzionek, born in 1932, from the theological community of Krakow. The exhibition presented a wide selection of thousands of existing ex libris from all over the world, starting with the first, and only sample, made in 1969 for card. Karol Wojtyła, before his election to the Papacy, by Tyrsus Wenhrynowicz. Emblematic is the place of the exhibition, the chapel of Mary Help of Christians, with the picture of the Help of Christians in front of which John Paul II prayed for his priestly vocation, and where there is now a life-sized statue representing him made by the brothers Fathers Robert and Leszek Kruczek, Salesians. There are also portraits of Salesian priests, martyrs of the Second World War, contemporaries of Saint John Paul II.

Różanystok, Poland - June 2021 - Thousands of faithful, mostly young people, gathered on June 27 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Różanystok for the 40th anniversary of the coronation of the image of Our Lady of the Rosary Help of Christians. Many of them came to Różanystok on foot, taking part in the pilgrimage. The Thanksgiving Mass was presided over by the Apostolic Nuncio in Poland, Msgr. Salvatore Pennacchio, in the presence of the Bishop of Białystok, Msgr. Henryk Ciereszko, the Superior of the Salesian Province of Warsaw, Fr Tadeusz Jarecki, and various concelebrants. For the occasion, Pope Francis sent a special greeting to the faithful, along with his apostolic blessing. At the end of the Mass, the Apostolic Nuncio blessed a new garment of Our Lady of the Rosary, made with precious materials, as homage of the faithful for the intercession and maternal love of Mary Help of Christians. Różanystok has been a place of Marian worship since the 17th century. A special event in the history of the Shrine was the coronation of the image of Our Lady of Różanystok on 28 June 1981. Since 1919, the pastoral and educational service in Różanystok has been carried out by the Salesians of Don Bosco.

Krakow, Poland - June 2021 - June 20 was a special day for the young people of the Salesian Missionary Volunteer Service “Młodzi Światu” (SWM) in Krakow. 15 of them, after a year of formation, were invited to follow Jesus to the ends of the world and to announce the Good News. During the Holy Mass, presided over by Fr Zygmunt Kostka, Vicar of the Salesian Province of Krakow (PLS), they received the missionary crosses, before leaving to serve in various countries: Zambia, Gambia, Ethiopia, Bolivia, Ukraine. On this very important day, the young missionaries were accompanied by their families, acquaintances, and friends.

Ełk, Poland - June 2021 - On 13 June the consecration of the Church of San Rafał Kalinowski in Ełk was celebrated, presided over by the Bishop of the diocese of Ełk, Msgr. Jerzy Mazur, SVD, in the presence of Fr Tadeusz Jarecki, Salesian Provincial of Warsaw (PLE), and many Salesians. Thirty years ago John Paul II blessed the first stone for the church's construction. In June 1999, during a pilgrimage to Ełk, the Pope blessed the church already under construction so that the community could continue the charism of St. John Bosco: "Thus we shall start a great work, who knows if this beginning, this dot is not a seed from which a large tree will be born, which will gradually grow more and more until it becomes a great good." The temple was built on the solid foundations of faith and the work of the faithful and includes in addition to the large and beautiful church, parking lots, green areas, a religious house, an oratory, playgrounds, an outdoor gym, a football field, a basketball court, and a sports hall.

(ANS - Rome) – 27 June 2021 marks the 80th anniversary of the martyrdom of four of the twelve Salesians, belonging to the St Hyacinth Province of Krakow, arrested on the night of 23 May 1941 by Gestapo officials. They are Fr Jan Świerc, 64, parish priest; Fr Ignacy Dobiasz, 61, parish vicar; Fr Franciszek Harazim, 56, professor of Theology; Fr Kazimierz Wojciechowski, 37, catechist.
