120 new novices in the South Asia Region

This year, in the South Asia Region, there will be 120 new novices; 27 more than last year, when there were 93.

The 120 novices are currently distributed as follows in their respective novitiates:
29 in Shillong;
16 in Kohima;
9 in Dhajea;
6 to Nashik;
13 in Hyderabad;
17 in Yellagiri;
26 in Padivayal Kerala;
1 in Bangladesh;
3 in Sri Lanka.

The novices will make their first professions on May 24, will continue for the others on May 31, June 30, August 15 and September 8.

Currently the 12 Provinces of the South Asia Region have a total of more than 2,800 Salesians.
