Written by Salesian Fr Lasagna to report his first impressions of Brazil to Don Bosco, especially the city of Niterói where the first Salesian presence arose.
Third letter: 24 November 1882
Also written by Fr Lasagna for Don Bosco, to present the progress achieved and to tell of the reception received by the Salesians in other Brazilian states.
Fourth letter: August 6, 1883
Fr Lasagna again, reporting on the foundation of the house in Niterói. He also presents the project of the Salesian school of Santa Rosa for poor boys and the opportunity to establish a school in the city of São Paulo.
Fifth letter: July 29, 1884
Fr Borghino writes for Fr Michele Rua to Bishop Cagliero asking to send more missionaries. In this letter the joys and challenges of the process of evangelization on Brazilian soil are shared.
