Artemide Zatti, from diocesan process to canonization

On Sunday, October 9, Salesian coadjutor Br. Artemide Zatti will be proclaimed a saint.

Below, the principal stages leading to this long-awaited moment for the Salesian Family:

1951: Mass attendance at Artemide Zatti's funeral confirms the social relevance of his Holiness;
1980: on March 22, the diocesan process opens in Viedma;
1997: on July 7, with the document "Decretum super virtutibus" he is declared Venerable;
2002: performed a miracle of healing and on April 14 was beatified by St. John Paul II;
2022: having ascertained the second miracle, on Oct. 9 Pope Francis will inscribe him on the list of Saints.
