The first Salesian college outside Turin

The first college erected by Don Bosco, outside Turin, was that of Mirabello Monferrato.
On October 20, 1863, a college was opened which took the name of the Piccolo Seminario San Carlo.

From 1863 to 1865, the director of the college was Blessed Michele Rua.
When he arrived in Mirabello Monferrato, Father Rua came with his mother Giovanna, just as when Don Bosco went from Becchi to Turin with Mamma Margaret in 1846.
