Yesterday, March 15, marked a sad anniversary in Syria: the twelfth year since the beginning of the war. Today the fighting is confined to the north of the country, in the rebel-controlled area, but the consequences are still dramatic and further worsened by the earthquake.

The birth of the first Salesian bookbindery is an epic moment of great importance for Don Bosco. However, his objective was much broader: he planned to manage the entire cycle of publishing production on his own, putting himself forward as an all-round true and proper Catholic publisher.
