(ANS – Laga) – “When I think about the beginning of my missionary vocation, I recall always how, as a child, my mother used to call me to do something: ‘Please come and do this or that.’ Whenever mom called I would stop whatever I was doing and I would try my best to do what she asked me to do. My missionary vocation is similar to this call at a certain moment of my life.”
(ANS - Rosario) - Fr Frederick "Chingui" Salmeron, a 29-year-old Salesian with a diploma in drug prevention, works with the young people of the Ludueña district, one of the most dangerous of Rosario, Argentina. Here people live "in the shadow of death", but he, with other Salesians, keeps the community alive.
(ANS - Rome) - "Europe is a land of contrasts. You notice this immediately when you meet young people from different countries. In this region alone the Salesians speak 27 different languages! But, speaking of language, we should not forget that the most important language is that of the heart." Today we publish the second and final part of the interview with Fr Tadeusz Rozmus, Councillor for the Central and Northern European region.
