(ANS - Turin) - On Monday morning, 21 May, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians, took part in the meeting of the World Consultative Body of the Salesian Family (SF). The meeting was attended by 27 SF groups, represented by their leaders or by their respective delegates. Fr Eusebio Muñoz, Delegate of the Rector Major for the Salesian Family, reflects on this important meeting.

(ANS - Rabaul) - "In every discussion concerning an entrepreneurial initiative one should ask a series of questions, in order to discern if it will lead to a true integral development: For what purpose? For what reason? Where is it? When? How? Who is it for? What are the risks? At what cost? Who pays the expenses and how will they do it?" Monsignor Francesco Panfilo, Salesian Archbishop of Rabaul, cites Pope Francis' encyclical "Laudato Sì" (LS, 185) to explain why, alongside and with the rest of the local episcopate, he opposes the risky drilling operation of the ocean floor.

(ANS - Cebu City) - Edward Villordon and Emmanuel (Manny) Gayacan are two Filipino Salesians who share many things: they were both born in 1968, they entered the Salesian Filipino novitiate in Canlubang, and both had animation offices at Province level. But above all, they share the same Salesian consecrated vocation, in the lay form of the Salesian Coadjutor Brother.
