INTERVIEWS
(ANS - Brno) – One's own vocational journey, the current state of the Salesian charism for Europe, the Salesian response to the challenges of migration ... Rector Major Fr Ángel Fernández Artime discussed this and other issues with the local youth in Brno a few weeks ago during his animation visit to the Czech Republic. Below, a few extracts from their conversation:
(ANS - Catania) - "When a group of teachers gets together, for sure they're speaking ill of their students ... That's why I avoid them. At recess, I prefer staying with the kids, living the Salesian dimension of the playground, the hallways. You get to know about students in a different way compared to when you're in front of them in the classroom." Pronouncing these words is Marco Pappalardo, a 41-year-old teacher of Literature and educator from Catania, who grew up in the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM).
(ANS - Caracas) - He is one of the Salesian religious who received the Missionary Crucifix in the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians. Not this year, but eight long years ago. He is among the many Salesians from Vietnam who has decided to spend his life in the mission ad gentes – ad vitam. His name is Juse Do Van Dung. He's 39, a priest and this is his testimony.
