(ANS - Ulaanbaatar) - When Mongolia became a democratic country in the early 1990s, the government requested diplomatic relations with the Holy See and the sending of Catholic missionaries. The first missionaries came in 1992 and included the current Apostolic Prefect of Ulaanbaatar, Msgr. Wenceslao Padilla, CICM, with the first Salesians arriving in 2001. Now that the Catholic Church celebrates its 25th anniversary in Mongolia, Fr Václav Klement, Councilor of the Salesian Region of East Asia-Oceania, recalls what has been done so far and looks at the future of the mission in the country.

(ANS - Conakry) - For over 30 years, Fr Lorenzo Campillo has been engaged as a missionary in the Francophone West Africa Province (AFO). He is currently serving the young of Guinea Conakry.

(ANS - San Salvador) - In 2011, in his sociological studies on street children, Simon Pierre Escudero went to El Salvador to conduct research. At that time, no institution was working directly with street children; for this reason, he decided to found an association - "Terre des Jeunes" - with whom he still works, together with Victoria, a Salesian Salvadoran Cooperator, in the country's most difficult areas.

(ANS – Tan Phuoc) – Mr. Phan Dinh Thuc is a Teacher of Mechanics in the Phuoc Loc Vocational Training Center, in Tan Phuoc Commune. Thanks to the Salesians, he got to know the spirit of the family, grew professionally and now has a job as a teacher. Here is the account of this past pupil.
