Hungary - Salesians launch Online Oratory
Budapest, Hungary - March 2020 - On March 28, the Salesians of the Province of Hungary (UNG) launched the online oratory in order to continue to accompany young people in these days of social isolation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Salesian coadjutor brother Jani Áron, Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry, planned and implemented this initiative, assisted by the Salesian coadjutor brother Kirner Gábor, Provincial Delegate for Social Communication, who contributed to the animation and coordination of the work. The launch of the online oratory, centered on the theme of "Relationships", was attended by about 400 young people from the country's oratories, who attended the cheerful dances of the Salesian animators, the joyful melodies of the Salesian clerics, and saw the participation of numerous Salesians. In the second meeting of the online oratory, the number of participants doubled, with a program that included a debate, a quiz competition led by the Hungarian Salesians in Rome and the Salesian "goodnight" of Fr Márkus Zoltán.
