Italy - “Don Bosco” center of Alessandria: food packages for the needy

09 April 2020

Alessandria, Italy - April 5, 2020 - The "Don Bosco" Center of Alessandria, belonging to the Salesian Circumscription of Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta (ICP), is very active during this period of the coronavirus health emergency. The parish, priests and volunteers immediately made themselves available to help the needy. Every two Mondays, in collaboration with "San Vincenzo", food packages are distributed to people in difficulty. “Today there are about 60 families who come to us,” explains Salesian Fr Gianfranco Avallone. “Volunteers are available for those who need goods delivered at home from the pharmacy or with shopping. We try, as far as we can, to help families.”
