South Africa - "Our Lady of the Rosary" parish helps the poor
Cape Town, South Africa - April 2020 - The Conference of Catholic Bishops of Southern Africa, through a pastoral letter, invited to help the poor during this mandatory quarantine period. The parish dedicated to "Our Lady of the Rosary" in Hanover Park, led by the parish priest Fr Jonathan Daniels, SDB, actively works to support the poor with fundraising and distribution of meals. "Thanks to the parish of the Society of San Vincenzo De’ Paoli, various benefactors and parishioners, we managed to raise funds to continue feeding the children of God in this painful moment. We thank the volunteers who, taking all the necessary precautions to be safe and to protect people, have come forward to help in this social service of the parish and the Catholic Church. We also thank the police for their assistance," said the Salesian.
