Rybník/Bratislava, Slovakia - May 2020 - Respecting the anti-COVID-19 measures, the Salesians of Slovakia, and the relatives of the late Fr Jozef Ižold, Provincial of Slovakia, who died on May 20 at the age of 56, celebrated his funeral on May 26. The funeral liturgy in Rybník, the birthplace of Fr Ižold, was celebrated by the Archbishop of the Capital and President of the Slovak Episcopal Conference, Msgr. Stanislav Zvolenský, together with his auxiliary, Msgr. Jozef Haľko, in the presence of the bishop of the local diocese, Msgr. Viliam Judák. The members of the Provincial Council, the Delegates of the sectors, the Directors of the Salesian houses, and other diocesan and religious priests concelebrated to represent the Salesian Family. The current FMA Provincial of Slovakia, Sister Monika Skalová, and Sister Jana Kurkinová, former Provincial, were also present. Various members of the Salesian family, and faithful followed the celebration in the area in front of the church of Rybník.
