Mozambique - Salesians in fight against COVID-19
Maputo, Mozambique - May 2020 - The Salesians of the Vice Province of Mozambique are committed in the front line in the fight against the spread of COVID-19. In Maputo, in the Matola "A" district, it has been over 4 weeks since they first started providing assistance to 54 families with food, masks, books for reading and exercises. In addition, the Salesians produce masks during the week and visit the families at the weekend. After training with the Mozambique Red Cross, the volunteers visited 170 previously identified elders in the Chamanculo and Luis Cabral neighborhoods with the aim of bringing them support.
