India - Dimapur Salesians distribute health kits to rural populations

Dimapur, India - July 2020 - "AIDA", the Planning and Development Office of the Salesian Province of Dimapur (IND), in collaboration with the program of the federal government "National Health Mission", is committed to informing the population of 62 villages in the district of Tinsukia, Assam, about the risks of COVID-19. The action is carried out through the distribution of posters and flyers in the nerve centers of the villages and with information sessions in small groups. Also, "AIDA" distributed soaps and disinfectants to the villages for 5,000 families, along with 22,000 masks made by the members of the self-help group in order to give them an income in this time of crisis. The ASHA youth group and other youth organizations have given their full support in the distribution of hygiene kits.
