Sevilla, Spain - July 2020 - Summer schools, oratories, training camps, summer camps or sports schools are the different ways of calling the 2020 Salesian summer of the “Mary Help of Christians” Province (SMX), a summer that thinks above all positively and which has as its objective the Salesians' focus on young people. Since the beginning of the school holidays, many activities have been launched in the various Salesian works aimed at promoting the educational use of free time by combining it with human and spiritual formation, prompted also by Covid-19-related measures for innovation, health safety, social distance and localized action. Around 3,000 children, adolescents and young people participate in the summer activities, assisted by 650 volunteer animators, 43 Salesians and 57 Salesian Cooperators.
