Poland - Opening of school year for Salesian schools in Warsaw Province
Warsaw, Poland - September 2020 - The school year in Poland began on 1 September. The schools of the Salesian Province of Poland-Warsaw (PLE) prepared buildings and classrooms to comply with the anti-Covid-19 health directives with a great use of human and economic resources. The Salesian PLE Province has a kindergarten with 50 children in Mińsk Mazowiecki; 6 elementary and middle schools with over 1,500 students; 8 high schools with over 1,000 students; 6 structures including boarding schools, boarding houses for universities, educational centers and socio-therapeutic centers, which take care of about 300 students. Over 600 teachers and staff are employed in schools and centers. About 3,000 children and young people are covered by the school assistance of the PLE Province.
