Poland - Campaign “Children of Mexico. School brings childhood back "
Warsaw, Poland - October 2020 - World Mission Sunday is celebrated throughout the world on Sunday 18 October and Mission Sunday is also celebrated in Poland, which begins Mission Week. Each year the event is accompanied by a solidarity campaign, and this year, the Salesian Mission Center in Warsaw is carrying out a special one: "Children of Mexico. The School brings childhood back ". In Mexico, for two years, Salesian Brother Sebastian Marcisz, from the Warsaw Province (PLE), has been working as a missionary. He lives in Mexico City and works in the ministry of vocations. In September he visited the students of the Salesian schools and their families who live in 4 cities in the Oaxaca region: Río Manso, Tlahuitoltepec, Totontepec, Matagallinas. Marcisz said the situation is difficult not only because of the restrictions linked to the pandemic, but also because of the conditions in which they live. Student homes lack food, medicine, clothes, pens, notebooks and books. Short reports prepared by the missionary are published on the campaign website of the Warsaw Mission Office.
