Colombia - Priestly ordination of two Salesians
Bogotá, Colombia - November 2020 - On 28 November, at the National Shrine “Nuestra Señora del Carmen”, the Salesians Édgar Enrique Velásquez Camelo and José Hernando Gómez Ramírez were ordained priests by the laying on of hands and consecrating prayer of Msgr. Héctor Julio López Hurtado, SDB, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Girardot. The two Salesians belong respectively to the Colombia-Bogotá (COB) and Colombia-Medellín (COM) Provinces. The Eucharist was concelebrated by Fr John Jairo Gómez Rúa, COB Provincial, and Fr Luis Fernando Valencia, COM Provincial.
