Brazil - A painting for 80 years of Salesian presence in Lins

Lins, Brazil - January 31, 2021 - At the "Unisalesiano" University Center in Lins, on the occasion of the feast day of Don Bosco, a new painting was unveiled for the 80th anniversary of the Salesian presence in the city. The artist is Odenir Seba, who has also restored two other paintings made on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Salesian presence in Lins. These latter paintings, one of Don Bosco and the other of Our Lady Help of Christians, were also presented to the community. The new painting was placed at the entrance to the University Center and was blessed by the Director, Fr Paulo Fernando Vendrame. The work depicts Mary Help of Christians, Don Bosco, Msgr. Henrique Mourão, Salesian bishop of the diocese of Cafelândia (which included the current diocese of Lins) in the years in which the Salesians arrived in Lins, and the Mother Church of Don Bosco and the buildings of the "Unisalesiano", with the elements of the flag of the municipality of Lins.
