Brazil – Members of Salesian works of Juazeiro do Norte in action for environment
Juazeiro do Norte, Brazil - February 2021 - With the aim of preserving the "Common Home", the members of the Salesian centers in the city of Juazeiro do Norte have planted small trees. The planting of the new plants took place at the "Horto do Padre Cícero" in the presence of Fr Cícero Oliveira, parish priest of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Fr Francisco Ataíde, Director of the "St Giovanni Bosco" Salesian School, other Salesians, a few Sisters of Charity of Jesus, and a group of pre-novices. The latter, on the occasion, read some passages from Pope Francis’s Encyclical "Laudato Sì", on care for the Earth.
