To date, 290 people have been treated there and, completely healed, have returned to their homes. In addition to providing medical care and nutritious meals, the BGVK offers patients yoga and meditation sessions every morning, scientific information on health and nutrition, nature walks and recreational activities. Fr George D’Abreo, Director of the "BGVK", leads a team of Salesians and young volunteers. “We have doctors and paramedics 24/7,” he says. “Oxygen saturation levels and temperatures are closely monitored 24 hours a day. Upon discharge, recovered patients receive further instructions and medicines on how to continue their care at home.”
