Poland - Series of stamps issued on Salesian church in Przemyśl
Przemyśl, Poland - May 2021 - On the occasion of the Year of St. Joseph, proclaimed by Pope Francis, the Polish Post Office has issued a series of stamps dedicated to the Salesian church and the history of the Salesian parish of St. Joseph in Przemyśl, belonging to the Province Salesian of Krakow (PLS). They represent: the church of St. Joseph (consecrated on November 6, 1927, general and interior view); the picture of St. Joseph (made by W. Piętal, blessed on 19 March 2021 by Msgr. A. Szal); the moment in which the Salesians of Przemyśl ask Pope John Paul II for the beatification of Fr August Czartoryski (May 1987); the paintings of the central altar; the festival of the sacred song "Sacro Song" on September 24, 1975 with the then card. Karol Wojtyla.
