Papua New Guinea - Under the mantle of Mary Help of Christians

Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea - May 2021 - The feast day of Mary Help of Christians was celebrated in Port Moresby on 24 May. The event took place at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Mary Help of Christians, Boroko Est, and was led by members of the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA). A large crowd of members of the Salesian Family and faithful gathered in front of the Marian Grotto of the Shrine for the recitation of the Holy Rosary, led by members of ADMA. The students of the "Don Bosco" Technical Institute accompanied the moment with some Marian songs. Fr Ambrose Pereira, SDB, Secretary of the Social Communication Office of the Episcopal Conference of Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands, gave the blessing of Mary Help of Christians. Fr Gregorio Bicomong Jr., SDB, Superior of the Salesian Vice Province of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands (PGS), presided over the Eucharistic celebration in honor of Mary Help of Christians, during which four new members of ADMA made their promise.
