São Gabriel da Cachoeira, Brazil - On 23 May, in the “São Gabriel Arcanjo” cathedral, the Salesian Adail Brito, an indigenous Piratapuia ethnic group, was ordained a deacon by the diocesan bishop Msgr. Edson Taschetto Damian. Also present at the ceremony were Fr Gabriel Romero, Councilor for the America South Cone Region, on an Animation Visit to the Salesian Province of Manaus (BMA), Fr Jefferson Luis Da Silva Santos, BMA Provincial, his Vicar, Fr Felipe Bauzière, members of the Provincial Council and men and women religious of the congregations present in the region.
