Indonesia - An innovative program to recycle waste

08 June 2021

Jakarta, Indonesia - June 2021 - The Salesian post-novitiate community of Wisma, Jakarta, has been carrying out a waste recycling program for some time. In particular, thanks to the intuition of Bro. Yulius Nuwa Owa, SDB, a process has been developed that allows organic waste to be transformed into fertilizer. The latter is then used to take care of the community garden: a small gesture, but useful to the environment and to society in general. This activity, in addition to being in line with the objectives set by the GC28, also brings an economic benefit to the community and avoids food waste.
