Perugia, Italy - June 2021 - On 19 June the inauguration of the new reception/refreshments-area/bar/services and all the other innovative works carried out within the entire sports-recreational complex of the Salesian Youth Sports Center was celebrated in Perugia “PGS Don Bosco”. The Superior of the Salesian Circumscription of Central Italy (ICC), Fr Stefano Aspurati, the Municipal Councilor Paolo Befani, representing the Mayor, Andrea Romizi, and the Councilor for Sport, Clara Pastorelli, presided over the inauguration. The event took place in the presence of the young people of "PGS Don Bosco", their families, the Salesian Cooperators, and the Salesian Past Pupils, the representatives of the companies that carried out the work, and the benefactors. After the cutting of the tricolor ribbon and the subsequent blessing of the new premises, outdoor refreshments followed in an atmosphere of great cordiality, friendship and serenity, in full harmony with Don Bosco's charism. The event took place in view of the centenary of the Salesian presence in Perugia, which since 1922 has been working in favor of young people, especially the most needy, preparing them to become good Christians and upright citizens.
