Democratic Republic of Congo – A perpetually professed and two new Salesian priests in Uvira
Uvira, Democratic Republic of Congo - July-August 2021 - Fr Guillermo Basañes, Provincial of the Central African Province (AFC), received the perpetual profession of Salesian Brother Barthélemy Buchunde on 31 July last. The following day, 1 August, the bishop of Uvira, Msgr. Sébastien Muyengo, ordained 8 deacons, including two Salesians: Fr Pio Makano and Fr Nadin-Floribert Muzaliwa. The Salesian brother and the two new priests are all three from Uvira, where the Salesians started working 19 years ago.
