Ukraine - “Bosco-Arena” sports complex opens in Lviv, to grow in body and spirit

Lviv, Ukraine - September 2021 - On Sunday 5 September the Salesians in Lviv inaugurated a new sports complex called “Bosco-Arena”, which includes a gymnasium and a sports field. “Bosco-Arena” shall be the base for the Don Bosco Sports Center which has 350 young people who, in addition to their development in sport, have embarked upon a path of Christian and human growth. The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Msgr. Borys Gudziak, Archbishop and Metropolitan of Philadelphia (USA) of the Ukrainians. Many guests and benefactors of the Salesians attended the inauguration, including the Mayor of Lviv, Mr. Andriy Sadovyi. In his speech, the Provincial of the Salesian Vice Province of Ukraine (UKR), Fr Mykhaylo Chaban, said the sports complex completes the framework of the many activities that the Salesian Congregation offers to form young people in body and in spirit.
