DR Congo - "Boscolac-Pre-novitiate" Salesian community canonically erected
Goma, RD Congo - September 2021 - On 15 September, at the "Boscolac-Pre-novitiate" (AFC-EST Delegation), Fr Tryphon Kalamira, SDB, Vicar of the Central Africa Province (AFC), presided over the Start of the pastoral and academic year 2021-2022 along with the canonical erection of the Salesian community “Boscolac-Pre-novitiate”, and the installation of its first Rector, Fr Pascal Mumba Kati, SDB. During the Eucharistic celebration, Fr Kalamira exhorted the 15 pre-novices of the AFC-EST “St. Joseph” delegation to take to heart the privilege of being the first batch of the “Boscolac” pre-novitiate. Numerous Salesians from the AFC-EST delegation and various presences were present at the ceremony.
