Kenya - "Don Bosco Tech Africa" signs a Memorandum of Understanding with "The Toolkit iSkill"
Nairobi, Kenya - October 2021 - Fr George TJ, SDB, Executive Director of "Don Bosco Tech Africa", and Ms Jane Muigai Kamphuis, Director and founder of "The Toolkit iSkill" (TTI), a social enterprise based in Kenya, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 6 October. The document focuses on supporting young people in Africa to attain higher levels of skills to enable them to get decent employments or be entrepreneurs. This collaboration will see “Don Bosco Tech Africa” connect the Don Bosco Vocational Training Centers offering training in advanced skills with the local and international certifications in three priority sectors: solar technology, welding, and scaffolding. The two organizations have agreed to design the skills updating program and to jointly mobilize resources for the effective implementation of the agreement at the Salesian Vocational Training Centers.
