Maribor, Slovenia - November 2021 - In the Salesian parish in Maribor, the second-largest city in Slovenia, with the only church dedicated to St John Bosco, a triple solemnity was celebrated on the feast of Christ the King, on Sunday, 21 November. The Salesian and parish community commemorated the 35th anniversary of the arrival of the Salesians in Maribor and the 6th anniversary of the blessing of the new shrine and the consecration of the altar. Furthermore, Most Rev. Peter Štumpf, SDB, bishop of Murska Sobota, presided at the Eucharist, concelebrated by the Salesians and the Rector and parish priest Fr Janez Potočnik, SDB. On the occasion, he also blessed the new Stations of the Cross, wood-crafted by the well-known Slovenian sculptor Peter Jovanovič.
