Brazil - Pupils of the Salesian institute "Mons. Luiz Lasagna "plant 100 trees around "Unisalesiano" of Araçatuba
Araçatuba, Brazil - November 23, 2021 - A collaboration between the Salesian institute "Mons. Luiz Lasagna" and the Salesian University (UniSALESIANO), both based in Araçatuba, organized the planting of 100 ipê plants, a flowering plant of the Bignoniaceae family. The pupils of the Salesian institute, accompanied by their parents and the academic coordinator, Liliana Aparecida Cora, gathered for the planting, in the presence of the Director General of the UniSALESIANO campus, Fr Erondi Tamandaré, SDB. Furthermore, each student chose a name for the tree he or she planted. The goal of this initiative is to promote integration, education and above all environmental awareness, especially in the campus on the "World Tree Day" and to stress on the relationship between man and the environment.
