India - “Bosconet” hosts Awareness Programs for Capacity Development
New Delhi, India - 3 December 2021 - In the last two months "Bosconet India", the network of Salesian Planning and Development Offices in India, organized one-day orientation programs in various cities of the country for civil society organizations (CSO) to assist the weakest sections of society, and to promote awareness of the rights and government programs dedicated to them. The orientation program was led by Louis Manohar, National Coordinator of “Bosconet”, and covered five modules: participatory approach, advocacy skills, lobbying skills, negotiation strategies and skills, and the right to government welfare projects. In this way, the program favors the access of over two million people to their legitimate benefits. Fr Santhanam, assistant director of "Bosconet", organized the orientation days, informing the participants on the involvement of the various provinces of Salesian India and underlining the importance and benefits of networking. The "Bosconet" initiative to bring all NGOs together under one roof to plan and execute common strategies was appreciated by all participants.
