Argentina - Meeting of the SYM National Commission
Buenos Aires, Argentina - December 2021 - After almost two years of online meetings, last weekend, 11-12 December, it was possible to hold the meeting of the National Commission of the Argentine Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) in person. Much of the meeting was dedicated to getting to know each other and recognizing each other as a team, given that the Commission has seen a significant turnover of its members in the last two years. Furthermore, the actions carried out in the last two years in relation to the general objectives of the Commission were evaluated and a work plan was defined in view of the next National Assembly, to be held in October 2023. To this end, the operational objective to create spaces, initially with the provincial teams of the SYM, to examine Salesian Youth Spiritualityfrom the perspective of youth cultures, was proposed. The SYM National Commission was born as a result of the SYM National Assembly in 2018 and works to promote the appropriation of the Identity Card at different levels, create and sustain the identity of the SYM of Argentina.
