India – Donated, an ambulance for medical needs of children of "Don Bosco Navajeevan" homes
Hyderabad, India - January 2022 – The insurance company “General Insurance Corporation of India” (GIC), in collaboration with BoscoNet and Bosco Seva Kendra, has donated an ambulance for the medical and emergency needs of street children, orphans, and marginalized residents of Don Bosco Navajeevan homes in Hyderabad. GIC President and CEO, Devesh Srivastava, participated online along with other GIC dignitaries, and presented the vehicle in the presence of Fr Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, SDB, Provincial of the Salesian Province of Hyderabad (INH), and Fr Noel Maddhichetty, SDB, Director of "BoscoNet". The GIC President lauded the efforts of the Salesians in reaching out and supporting the most needy in society. For their part, Fr Vijaya Bhaskar and Fr Maddhichetty praised the initiatives carried out by GIC for the needy, especially in the rural areas of India during the pandemic.
