Myanmar - Don Bosco Green Alliance Meeting with Economers of Vice-Province
Myanmar - February 2022 - The "Don Bosco Green Alliance" (DBGA), in collaboration with Fr Saw Shine Win, SDB, hosted a meeting with the Economers of the Salesian Vice-Province of Myanmar (MYM). The objective of the meeting, which was attended by eight young Salesians, was to raise awareness on the work of DBGA and highlight the urgency and necessity of Salesian action in the face of the climate crisis. Ms. Leann Dsouza, DBGA Executive Secretary, presented the priority areas, campaigns, how DBGA works, and the Laudato Sì Platform. Fr. Antonio Molavin, SDB, Filipino Salesian Spokesperson for DBGA, spoke about his own ecological conversion and how he leads the Plastic Bank Project in his parish. DBGA East Asia-Oceania Region Coordinator Taichi Miranda highlighted the activities of DBGA members from East Timor, the Philippines, Australia and Taiwan.
