India - Capacity Building Training for Don Bosco Job Placement Staff

Tiruchy, Mar. 16. The Don Bosco Job Placement Network held a workshop for its employees from February 28 to March 11, 2022, at Don Bosco Media Centre, Trichy, Tamil Nadu. Placement coordinators from Chennai, Trichy, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ranchi, Kolkata, Dimapur, Guwahati, and Delhi participated.

Various resource persons like Father Gamaliel SDB, Rector Don Bosco Varadarajanpet, Father Selva Kumar SDB, Director Anbu Illam, Salem, Father Benedict Rajakumar SDB Director- Don Bosco Media Center, Trichy, Father Arul Anthony SDB Director- Don Bosco Vazhikaatti, Trichy, Dr Victor Lazarus Dean- Placement Coordinator Bishop Heber College, Trichy, Father Eugene SDB, Rector Don Bosco Media Center, Trichy, Mr Martin, Program Manager for DBJPN, Mr Sridhar Senior Manager, Mr Bala Subramaniam Regional Manager HCL, and Ms Oyceline, TCS, imparted both information and training on a wide range of topics.

Father Noel Maddhichettey, Director of Bosconet, explained the evolution of the Job Placement Network. Father Gabriel SDB, National Coordinator, Job Placement Network, evaluated the previous year's programme. He said that amid the Covid-19 pandemic, 7500 young people across India were employed through the various initiatives. He also said that Job Placement Network is recognized as a Placement Organization by the National Career Service of Ministry of Employment and Labour. He emphasized the collaborative ministry to provide a better service.

The Provincial of Trichy Province, Father Agilan, appreciated the activities carried out by JPN and its progress. He wished them success in the future for all its initiatives.
