Brazil - "St Joseph" Institute of Resende celebrates 45 years and starts a collection in favor of the elderly
Resende, Brazil - March 2022 - The Salesian Institute "St. Joseph" of Resende, belonging to the Province of Belo Horizonte (BBH), has completed 45 years of existence, and to celebrate them the educational community gathered on March 19, the feast of its patron saint, for a Mass of Thanksgiving. One of the most important moments of the celebration presided over by Fr Duíle Castro, Director of the Institute, was the entrance of the image of St. Joseph carried in procession to the altar. The following day, the celebrations continued with the "Fraternity Cycling Walk", with about 300 people participating on bicycles, skates, scooters, skateboards, and on foot. During the procession, there was a raffle with prizes combined with the sale of geriatric hygiene products, which will be donated to the "Nicolino Gulhot" home in Resende.
