Haiti - The youth of "Lakay" and "La Saline" fight violence with music
Port-au-Prince, Haiti - April 2022 - On Sunday, April 10, the Salesians of the Haitian Vice-Province (HAI), through the work "Lakay" dedicated to street children, concluded the musical program called "With our musical instruments we fight violence". A hundred young people from the "Lakay" opera and other young people from the "La Saline" neighborhood on the outskirts of Port-au-Prince, an area known for violence and insecurity, participated in the program. The objective is to support young people by teaching them to play a musical instrument to help them escape the climate of violence.
