Hong Kong - May 2022 - May 24, the feast day of Mary Help of Christians, is also celebrated in Hong Kong as the World Day of Prayer for the Church in China, established by Pope Benedict XVI. Again in full compliance with current pandemic regulations, the two anniversaries were celebrated with a solemn procession, which carried the statue of Mary Help of Christians through the streets of the city. The procession was led by Fr. Carlos Cheung, Secretary of the Hong Kong-based "Mary Help of Christians" Province (CIN). Fr. Cheung encouraged all participants to pray invoking the intercession of the Help of Christians on behalf of the sick, especially those affected by Covid-19.
