Belo Horizonte, Brazil - June 2022 - A joint meeting of the Provincial Councils of the Province of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians "Mother Mazzarello" (BMM) and the Salesians "São João Bosco" of Belo Horizonte (BBH) was held on June 23 in Belo Horizonte. The program began with a Eucharistic celebration. During the day, topics related to the XXIV General Chapter of the FMA, the Salesian Youth Meeting with the Rector Major, the Formative Meetings associated with Youth Ministry (for SDB, FMA, and lay people responsible for local pastoral care) and the 150th anniversary of the FMA Institute were discussed. "This meeting fills our hearts with hope because it helps us remember the Salesian charism shared by Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello, as well as invites us to join forces and share experiences to promote youth leadership. In the different mission environments of the FMA and the Salesians, we are invited to embrace the challenges and concerns that move today's youth," said Fr. Natale Vitali, Provincial Superior of the BBH Province. Attentive to the legacy of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello, SDB and FMA are still eager to be living witnesses of the Salesian charism for youth, mainly those in socially vulnerable situations.
