Brazil - Três Lagoas Youth Center hands over certificates to teens of "Generando Futuro Project"
Três Lagoas, Brazil - July 2022 - After five intense months of studies and practical exercises, totaling 330 hours of activities, 137 teenagers participating in courses offered by the "Generando Futuro Project" received their certificates of participation. The project certifies that the teenagers attended courses in handicrafts, robotics, computer science, computer maintenance, bicycle mechanics, and wood use. "Generando Futuro" of Três Lagoas is a project developed and implemented through a collaboration between the company "Petrobras" and the Salesian Mission of Mato Grosso - Youth Center "Adolescent Jesus." The goal is to contribute to the economic and bio-psychosocial development of adolescents, youth, and adults in the municipality of Três Lagoas. The project has two hinges: the first, consisting of the vocational initiation courses for adolescents, ages 14 to 17, accompanied by sports practice; and the second, carried out through the vocational qualification courses for adults. It should also be added that both courses also include socio-environmental activities and that every action carried out at the institution aims to serve community members in vulnerable situations, to promote active citizenship and social integration.
